OOTB Art Studio – 4-Class Pottery Course (Wheel + Hand-Building)
Duration: 4 classes (2 hours each)
Location: 145 Royal Crest Court, Unit 31, Toronto, ON
Take home: 5–8 finished pieces (bisque fired + glazed + final fired)
What’s Included

5kg (enough for 5–8 pieces across the course)

Full hands-on access to studio wheels and hand-building space, plus all tools

Bisque firing for your completed work

Colour glaze + clear glaze applied and fired so you take home finished pieces

All materials, aprons, and instructor guidance included—just bring yourself
Optional extra clay: $10 per kg, including firing and glazing for that extra clay amount.
Course Flow & What to Expect
Class 1 — Welcome + Foundations

Studio orientation, safety, and setup

Wheel basics (centering + cylinders) and/or hand-building fundamentals

Goal: start your first 1–2 pieces
Class 2 — Building Forms

Bowls, cups, plates, and form development (wheel or hand-building)

Shaping, thickness control, and troubleshooting

Goal: add 1–2 more pieces
Class 3 — Trimming + Handles + Surface Design

Trimming demo and guided trimming time (as pieces reach leather-hard)

Handles, attachments, textures, and simple decoration techniques

Goal: refine work and complete remaining pieces
Class 4 — Finishing + Glaze Planning

Final touch-ups, smoothing, stamping, and course wrap-up

Glaze guidance: colour selection, glaze outcomes, and firing process

You will leave your work with us for firing and glazing
Firing & Pick-Up

After the course, pieces are bisque fired, then glazed, then final fired

Pick-up is typically 2–3 weeks after the last class, depending on kiln schedule

You will receive an email when your pieces are ready

Uncollected items after 30 days may be discarded or recycled
