Workshop Flow & What to Expect
-
Welcome & Setup (15 mins) — We’ll show you around the studio, set you up at your workspace, and introduce the basic clay & wheel or hand‑building tools.
-
Making Time (approx. 60‑70 mins) — Create your 2‑3 pieces: you may choose to use a wheel or hand‑build depending on your preference and experience. You’ll receive tips on shaping, trimming, textures, and form.
-
Glazing & Finishing Instructions (come back after 2-3 weeks) — Once your pieces are formed, we’ll guide you through how glazes work, choosing colour, and what happens during the firing process. You’ll leave your pieces with us for firing.
-
Firing & Pick‑Up — After the workshop, your pieces will be bisque fired first, then glaze applied, then final firing. Pick‑up time will be communicated (typically within 1‑2 weeks depending on kiln schedule).
-
Take Home Your Work — You’ll take home 2‑3 professionally fired and glazed pieces that you made yourself.
