OOTB Art Studio – Hand-Built Pottery Workshop

Duration: 2 hours sculpture time+2 hours glazing session 
Location: 145 Royal Crest Court, Unit 31, Toronto, ON

Discover the joy of creating with clay using hand-building techniques! This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone who loves hands-on creativity. Explore coils, slabs, and pinching methods to make unique pieces, then glaze and take them home.

What’s Included

• 1 kg of clay, enough to create 2–3 hand-built pieces

• Use of all studio tools for slab, coil, and pinch pottery

• Bisque firing of your finished pieces

• Color glaze + clear glaze included

• Guidance and support from friendly instructors

• Extra clay available for $10/kg, including firing and glazes

• All materials, aprons, and tools provided

Workshop Flow & What to Expect

1. Welcome & Setup (15 minutes) – Introduction to the studio, your workspace, and hand-building techniques.

2. Making Time (2 hour session ) – Create your 2–3 pieces using coils, slabs, and pinching methods. Learn tips on texture, form, and design.

3. Glazing & Finishing (

1. (come back after 2-3 weeks) ) – Choose your glaze colors and learn how glazing works. Your pieces will be left with us for firing.

2. Firing & Pick-Up – Pieces are bisque and glaze-fired by the studio team. Typically ready in 1–2 weeks.

3. Take Home Your Work – Collect your 2–3 finished, fired, and glazed hand-built creations.

• Wear comfortable clothes; aprons are provided

• Closed-toe shoes required in the studio for safety

• Arrive 5–10 minutes early to ensure the workshop starts on time

• Pick-up: you will be notified when your pieces are ready; items not collected after 30 days may be discarded or recycled(

• Photography is allowed during the workshop, but please respect other participants’ work
