Role Summary

OOTB Art Studio is seeking a reliable and organized Studio Assistant to support daily studio operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a creative environment, providing excellent customer service, and helping maintain a clean, welcoming, and efficient studio for students and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers, students, and event participants.

• Support class and workshop setup, including preparing materials, tools, and workstations.

• Clean and maintain pottery wheels, tables, sinks, tools, and common areas.

• Organize shelves, student pieces, supplies, and inventory.

• Assist with packaging, labeling, and managing completed pottery for pickup or shipping.

• Support glazing, kiln-loading preparation, and other studio production tasks as trained.

• Answer customer inquiries in person, by phone, email, and social media.

• Assist with private events, birthday parties, and community workshops.

• Help create a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors.

• Perform general administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable performing cleaning, lifting, and repetitive organizational tasks.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow studio procedures.

• Evening and weekend availability preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in ceramics, arts, crafts, or creative industries.

• Customer service, retail, hospitality, or event experience.

• Social media content creation, photography, or videography skills.

• Basic knowledge of pottery studio operations and equipment.
